The Indoor Collection: European Lines, Jepara Hands

How the Indocasa Indoor Collection is designed: living, dining, bedroom and study pieces in solid teak, with contemporary European lines and hand-finished Jepara craftsmanship.

The Indoor Collection: European Lines, Jepara Hands

The Indoor Collection is the largest part of our catalogue, with well over 200 designs for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and studies. It is also where our founding idea shows most clearly: contemporary European design, made by hand in Jepara. Many families even carry Italian names (Opera, Stanza, San Remo, Dolcevita, Primadonna), a nod to where the design language comes from.

The living room: sculpture you can sit in

Our lounge chairs are where teak becomes sculpture. The Tulipano armchair has a tall, upholstered back held in a single curving teak frame that flows into the arms and legs. The Diane rocking chair balances a deep upholstered seat on long, bent teak runners. For sofas, the Elena, Magenta, Aria and Sundara ranges move from soft and rounded to crisp and tailored.

Tables bring in other natural materials. The kidney-shaped Bulat coffee table floats a stone top above a dark teak shelf, and round tables such as the Tripod, Laguna and Venere add soft curves to a room. Browse lounges and sofas and side and coffee tables.

Dining: tables built to gather around

Our dining tables range from the gently curved legs of the Opera to the Komodo, a thick teak top on brushed steel legs, and round tables such as the Venere and Novo. With more than 40 dining chairs to choose from, from the curved-back Sofia to woven and upholstered seats, tables and chairs can be mixed to suit a family kitchen or a hotel restaurant.

The bedroom: calm, complete rooms

Bedroom families are designed as complete rooms: bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, console, mirror and wardrobe in one language. The Sundara bed wraps an upholstered headboard and base in a slim teak frame. The Maharaja bed builds bedside shelves into a wide headboard with slatted teak wings, a favourite for hotel suites.

The study and storage

Writing desks such as the Opera and Rosso, bookshelves like the round Saturno, and glass display cabinets in the Milano, Tuscany and Stanza families complete the collection. Each is built in solid teak with proper joinery and drawers that run smoothly for years.
