The Bathroom Collection: Teak Vanities, Stone Basins and Spa-Like Calm

The design story behind the Indocasa Bathroom Collection: solid teak vanity cabinets with natural stone basins, cane-panelled mirrors, storage columns and towel racks for spa-inspired bathrooms.

The Bathroom Collection: Teak Vanities, Stone Basins and Spa-Like Calm

A bathroom furnished in teak feels closer to a spa than a utility room. Our Bathroom Collection brings warm timber, natural stone and woven textures into the one room where most furniture would struggle, because teak is one of the few woods that genuinely copes with daily humidity.

Why teak works in bathrooms

Teak’s natural oils help it resist water and swelling, which is why it has been used on boat decks for centuries. Kiln-dried and properly joined, a teak vanity handles steam, splashes and humid tropical air far better than painted board or veneer. A gentle wipe after use and good ventilation are all it needs.

Vanity cabinets: three design directions

Our vanity cabinets fall into three broad families.

Slatted and classic. The Karma and Terra cabinets use horizontal teak slats across doors and drawer fronts, a pattern borrowed from tropical shutters. They come in 80 cm and 140 cm widths and are shown with natural stone vessel basins.

Open and airy. The Chakra frames a central bank of drawers between open shelves, keeping towels visible and the piece visually light.

Sculptural and wall-hung. The Rainwood is our most expressive design: a fluted teak drum and a flowing, organic top hung from the wall, with a smooth stone basin resting on top. It comes as a single or double.

Mirrors with texture

The Aosta mirror sets the glass between two shallow cabinets faced with woven cane, adding hidden storage and a handcrafted texture at eye level. Simpler framed mirrors such as the Bosco and Alpina pair with any vanity. See all bathroom mirrors.

Columns, towel racks and storage

Tall columns such as the Karma, Aosta, Maya and Natura add closed storage in a narrow footprint. The Scala towel rack, a freestanding teak ladder, the compact Tejo rack and a teak laundry box finish the room. See columns and storage.

For homes, villas and hotels

Teak bathroom furniture is a natural fit for villas and resort suites, where guests expect a warm, natural material palette. Widths, finishes and basin choices can be adapted through our bespoke service, and full bathroom sets can be specified for hotel rooms.
